IMHO of course but I'd say nice enough s1,5k,s2,2k up,Escos,10k,Saph,5k,3 dr,8k,Rs 2000,1500 mk5,1200 mk6,2k mk7,Frst,2.5k,xr2i,800-1000,Focus Rs 10k,As I said my opinion but u could get useable examples of all for far less and obviously concourse for more.you missed out an xr3i,around a grand again and the old Rs models etc, whatever you want for them!!!I bought my Cossie 4x4 for just three grand but it needs a repaint, loads of bits and bobs, mot etc so I'd say if i'd spent £5k originally I'd have had a really good useable car.

Buying an RS isn't just a one off payment as i'm sure you know.

+1, dont buy it think its going to be trouble free cause there's 80% chance it will break, you need a heart to stick the pain it may give you.

Have you thought about 24v'ing your saff? Its not hard and there's plenty of people that would help you out.

These are 'useable prices' not top prices for top cars.

certain cars vary in price so much that its hard to say. Looking on pistonheads at the classifieds will give u an idea. But as said, just because say for example you've gone out and bought a 4.5k series 2 escort turbo, doesnt mean it'll be trouble free. These cars are old and if you think most other cars this age arent about anymore on the roads, its only because of the following that these arent in the scrapyard to.

I'm picky about cars so when ever i buy a new car i always assume it will need work. You should be able to get a decent saff for £5.5-6k. My mate has just bought an S2 for £2400 and seems to be a good car so far, think he's had it now for about 3months.
