Question focus 1.8 TDCI 2005 mk1 accelerating problem

h guys, got a little problem with the focus, when i go to accelerate lets say with my foot to the floor, it will seem very flat at times to pick up, but other times it will pick up just fine. before you say its the EGR valve, that has been blocked for quite some time, any ideas what it could be like a sensor or something that needs cleaning?

not really, about the same just doesnt have flat spots as this does it when it is blocked, its the most common problem the poxy egr valve blocking so everyone blocks the damm thing off! passed the mot like it!

when you say dodgy pedal you mean the whole thing needs replacing?
