Jerking motion when changing gears

Default Jerking motion when changing gears

Does anyone know what is causing the jerking motion when i release my clutch when changing gears i have fitted new coil pack plugs and leads but it has not helped i cant think of anything else it could be. its a mk4 fiesta 1999. help me out plz.

Are you sure its the engine ?

Does it do it at idle ?


Sounds like a classic issue of the top engine mount worn out if it only happens when changing gears !

no only when changing gears i know its not a clutch problem a new one was fitted about 3 months ago.

I would check the condition of all the engine mount rubbers and make sure they are bolted up tight.

I had this on mine many years ago and the top one was perished. This is a common fault.

Otherwise, get the driveshafts checked out
