Alpine V12 Amp not working ...... HELP !
Am in need of some help please !
Whilst driving home today listening to some tunes, I heard a small crackle noise and the amp stopped working.
Upon inspection, the earth/ground cable had come off it's mounting point on the amp. No problem I thought, just re-connect and away we go !............
However, now all reconnected, fuses checked and powered up and all I get is the blue power light on the amp just keeps flashing - normally, it just stays lit when the amp is on.
I assume this meants it has a fault ? Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Dennis.

What can happen (depending on design) is that the earth current finds the next easiest route, which is usually the signal return (ground of the rca lead). Obviously the signal sections of the amp aren't designed for 30 odd amps, so could well have burnt some tracks or blown some low power resistors. Have a look inside
