how long do points stay on licence?

 

think they stop on your licence for 4 years but only count for 3 years. think it depends on the offence really. speeding and minor traffic offence 3 years, some major like DD 10 years.

I know the less serious ones are 4 years as said, don't know about DD ins etc.

points from most minor offences are only counted in the eyes of the law (for totting up purposes) for 3 years however they stay on for 4 unless you pay to have them removed.

Insurence companies count them for 5 years.

yeah how do you think traffic cops pay for all there fish and chips!!! i kid you no theres cops in the shop about twice aday getting fish and chips at Ł5.30 a pop

 

No,removed after four but don't count against you theoretically after three,although as said previously insurance companies count them for 5.

 

some offences are from date of conviction, some are from date of offence .some are on for 4 but only count for 3 for totting up .some are 11 years. it depends entirely on the offence.
