nope never heard of that, i presume tho because the road had a solid white line in the middle that meant no overtaking, and with you parked up it means folk would have to

Highway Code Rule 107: Double white lines where the line closest to you is broken. This means you may cross the lines to overtake if it is safe, provided you can complete the manoeuvre before reaching a solid white line on your side.

Rule 215: You must not park on a road marked with double white lines, except to pick up or set down passangers.

From the definition of a "double white line" in 107 , you can see that parking is prohibited by Rule 215. Rule 217 gives more information on this subject:

Rule 217: Do not park your vehicle on a road where it would endanger, inconvenience or obsctruct pedestrians or other road users. For example, do not stop:
Opposite or within 10 metres of a junction except in an authorised parking space.
Near the brow of a hill or hum back bridge
Opposite a traffic island or (if this would cause an obstruction) another parked vehicle
On a bend.

At a guess, I'd say you are busted!

I've seen people done for this, but it was £60 and 3 bonus points, fixed penalty.

Who did you piss off?
