Who remembers the Spectrum computer
Was walking around Blackpool today and me and my fella saw a computer shop with all the old computers in - I used to love my spectrum, and my commador 64.
Sega mega drive and sonic - wow
What computers were out when you were younger - unless your really old then they probably won't have been out at all (Andy RS turbo)!!!!!

Still got my ZX81 and 16k Spectrum in the loft
Used to get those magazines and sit there for hours typing all that code, just to see a ball bounce across the screen
Hit play on the tape recorder listen to all that screaming and then watch it come up with the error message

i had at first a amstrad cpc464 think it was wioth the rocky horror show ( just to see the naked bit , i was soooo sad as a child , so easy to tell i was gonna be a perv
then i have a spectrum +3 , yeah i was flash, had the floppy drive and all me mates had the +1 with no floppy, i thought i was the tits at christmas UNTIL i found out that all them could swop there games but i was stick with chase HQ
then i had a comadore 64 given to me with the matching tape drive ( fooking loading that was a missoin, rememebr shinobi (sp), and double dragon , top pc that was )
then i got a atari 1040ST with a black and white monitor as i was gona be a song writer and neded one
then i got a amiga 500 with the turtles pack ( 3 disc to load that gay game )
i broke a few power suplys with that ( over heated and burnt out ) went back to the 1040 and bought a games pack from birgin with doible dragon, that space catapiller game where a flying guy with a rogkt launcher shoots down and ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
OUTRUN, the longest game in time to load up
then the console was invented , NES i had for christmas, then a master system, then a atari lynx hand held and a pc engine ( that no fooker heard about and most still aint ) then a seuper nes that my dad refused to pay the money for the games and sold i sold it for a jap verion of a mega drive ( jes i am that bad in business ) and used that forever
then i stopped with computers and decided to play with girls instead
should have bought another computer
oh i got a apple mac computer thingy with oscar who opened the garbage for my GCSE for course work i never used
then i never touched a pc till i joined this site for advice on a cossir management conversion and then DazC's resto got me hooked and here i am now
12:25 and i start work at 830am , takes 40 mins to drive to work and im still on the dam PC

I remember the ZX as my mate had one. He always got consoles as soon as they came out. Even got the Neo Geo which I think was a bit of a flop or so bloody expensive no one could afford it!

I had 48k speccy with a wafer drive LOL what a waste of time that was!
Similar to a micro drive but more crap....
Then got an Amstrad CPC6128 with colour monitor, sold that for 700 quid!!!!!!
Brought an Amiga A500 after that and went mad on it:
1.5mb extra memory
colour monitor
2nd drive with hardware copier
genlock
5mb hardrive
And about 5000 copied disks of every game and demo you could possibly think of, those were the days of trading by post in the early 90s

Not sure what make my spectrum is (still got it somewhere) Just remember the black keyboard with the flat keys.......and I remember usualy getting very fed up while my dad was trying to load a game for me!!!!!!
I loved my commador 64, had an amega 500 too, but can't remember much about that - must have been crap!!!

I had a Spectrum + (hard key version of the 48k) with an additional Kempston interface and a quick shot II joystick
I progressed from there to an Amstrad Mega PC (386sx PC and Sega Megadrive in one machine) now filed in the loft.
Then it was a Super NES which I still have burried away at my mums.
Then a Sega Saturn Rally Championship was the only decent game and the machine flopped.
Then I got a Playstation before getting a PC and more recently a PS2
Phew

Then i got a Amstrad CPC 464 green screen monitor
Commodore 64(cartridge one, flimbos quest etc)
master system
mega drive
snes
amiga 600
PS one,,,
then a few PCs here n there!
