Help with my focus plz

i need a gearbox for my 1800 zetec 2001 will a mtx75 gearbox fit with out changing anything thing. the reason is ive heaed they are a better box dont no if that is true or not.

It isn't a straight swap. You'll need a new gearstick assembly, gear linkage cables and a clutch too from memory.

not a straight swap as above and have different racios iirc so will put your speedo out...by how much i dont know.

even though the mtx75 is a stronger box i'd just stick a standard ib5 in as theres more 1.8's about than 2l meaning theres a lot more correct ib5's about and it will just be a straight swop.
