Bottom end is fine for 500HP+, including standard internals, getting it setup right is the important bit, as said about transmission.

Didnt realise you can run that on standard crank and pistons! and i have omex 710 so mapping wont be a problems! what else can be left standard for that? oil pump?

bottom end good for circa 550hp bud

if standard 4x4 tranny then anything beyond 350/350 is a lottery

Torque kills boxes not the BHP...

I wouldn't like to be running 450 through it put it that way...

A lot of people go for uprated diffs from like of Bara, but the MTX75 is the weak point as 4x4, not sure what the 4x4 lot do to improve this, perhaps uprate the internals? As said it's torque that does damage which you will have a lot of.

when i planned to do a escort up about a year ago transmission alone was priced at 8k plus that would have been bullet proof mind you.

Im not sure what i am going to do now, i was only planning on getting a bigger turbo, head porting changing the cams and a 4 paddle cluch and a few other small things to get it to 400-450bhp as i already have management, injectors fuel pump etc, so i though if i throw a few grand at it i can get this done but if im going to need expensive gearbox and diffs etc im not wure what to do

any advice?

if you want big power; then you will need a decent box i'm afraid, if you dont do it and up the power you'll soon get pissed off with it blowing boxes

my advise would be to convert it to rwd!
