bmw z3 roof problems any one in the know

my mates don't work and he been told the motors are out off line any one any ideas as i never had anything to do with soft tops any common problems on these roofs?

Go to a BMW forum.

For my e36 M3 I had to re sync the motors there is a technique, not very hard to do, But I cant remember it sorry!
