Car VS Bike.....(Yes Again)
Just been out with my mate in his 200sx, he is running just about 300bhp'ish & he is a biker at heart (Just Sold his mental R1), anyway, he were going down road to drop me off, when he see's a bike (he is thinking it is a 600) & he just says that'll be an awesome race, so he wacks the Boost up & gives chase....Got to the dual carriage. Bike stops to give way, then Shoots off, my mate is sideways off the junction pretty much, chasing after this bike, the bike is pulling away at this point (my mate just says to me, no way is that a 600cc) but not as fast as you might think it would as by the time my mate had got to about a 100-130mph he is starting to reel him in, got to 150 & we are catching him even better, my mate backs off at 150 as we are hitting a slight bend.
Now if my mate were to carry on, we woulda catched him up about 160+ & prob's passed him. We got off the Duelly & stopped at the traffic lights, Pulled up next to the bike, Asked him what it was, it was a (newish?) Sukuki GSXR 750!!!
my mates 200sx has a off the shelve chip & full exhaust, Interooler & a set of Nismo injectors, so it is gotta be 300bhp+ on the standard turbo or near, It also has a knackered turbo that whines its tits off & has a standard clutch in which can't handle the power so it slips every now & again on hard boost....
I still can't believe how well it did against a 750cc bike at that level of tuning!
Can't wait to see what is gonna be like with a Live Map & the turbo rebuilt & a decent clutch!!!
He tells me a 750cc is a fast bike too! Suprised

MATE, believe what ya like, I fucking seen it with my own EYES!!!
we were both shocked, as he is a biker which proper shocked him as he thought he was gonna get spanked....I fucking wish i had filmed it,
The guy on the bike, was cool, he just laughed & said yeah its a 750 & was giving it all. Top Bloke, no bullshit excuse at the lights after aswel, As he knew the car woulda caught him up eventually

Ive had fast bikes and fast cars, a newish gsxr 750 is a fast light bike, if the bike was being riden hard there is no way you would catch it let alone stick with it.
but as a biker id say a lot of the time on a bike my balls reduce anything over 130 140 the road and weather have to be perfect for me to keep it nailed and the same with bends etc

No chance, either the 200SX is about 500hp or the bike was on half throttle, if he had it properly pinned he'd be off into the distance like a shot.

the standard T28's on them shit themselves at anything over 1.2bar of boost. My S14a made 300.1bhp with the standard turbo at 1 bar, Tomei 555cc injectors, front mounted 'cooler, tubi manifold, exhaust with decat etc.
It wont make much more then 320bhp MAX unless the turbo is uprated whilst being rebuilt, no matter how good the map is

Would take a seriously fast car to wind in and keep up with a GSXR 750 if it was being riden to anywhere near its full potential
If the bike was giving it everything it had he would have been nothing but a spec on the horizon unless you were in a car with around 500bhp.
Bike acceleration = 0-60 around 3 seconds, 0-140 around 10 or 12 seconds.... is the car anywhere near as quick as that ????
If the bike was going flat out it would have topped out around 170ish, takes someone with HUGE gonads to hold that speed for any more than a few seconds ! Somehow i reckon the biker was just playing and not going for it.

you said you were approaching 150mph into a slight bend if the biker had any sense then he would of slowed down.
You don't want to be going that speed approaching a bend with a car trying to close you down unless u want to die.

The problem is you believing this total Bullshit. To start beating a 750 bike you would need at least 600bhp in that car & even then he would pull away below 100mph. You need a serious reality check mate, i will supply a biker you bring that car & we will time them in proper conditions, all your mates believe it do they .

the bend was hardly a bend...its on a duel carriage way, could of easy kept it pinned but my mates 200sx is on standard suspension & brakes, he just chickened out
like i say, i saw the bike with my own eyes, till about 130ish he was all over us, the time we were hitting 150 he wasn't loosing us & he started to look bigger as we were reeling him in.
Im gonna be getting a Sony Bloogie now, a Pocket size camcorder that'll be able to take out with me incase it happens again!

Like i say, by the time we were hitting 150ish, he just wasnt pulling away, he was several car lengths in front of us by wasnt pulling away no more & were catching, slowly but we were catching, Prob's hit the limiter by the time we got anywhere close to him
So what sorta BHP would you need then Rod to beat a 600?

It's that time of year where the bullshit starts when the bikes come out. I'll try not to bite too much here but will next time

sounds like your mates 200sx should easily do quarters under 11 seconds if he is beating 750cc sports bikes.
AWESOME car by the sounds of it.
Your mates car is definately quicker than my nova with 1060kg and 457bhp was then, as that was only just about a match for a 600cc sports bike.
Your mate must be very proud of his unbelievable car.

ive think you've all read it wrong
Like i say, from the junction, he was all over us, he was pulling away like were in a fiesta not a 200sx but by the time we had got upto speed (over 130) we were slowly catching him up, we still wanst anywhere near him or but you could see him getting bigger & bigger as we were approching him, i didnt say we were beating him, just catching him up....Slowly but we were....never passed him
So don't read it wrong by saying he thrashed it & went past him becuase isnt the case

You were already reeling him in at about a 100-130mph apparently mate, that 200sx has got to be AT LEAST 500bhp on its fucked standard turbo, impressive stuff, definately quicker than my nova going by your results
This was what really happened apparently, so dont go pretending people have misread anything:

It's obvious when a car and a bike race.... The car driver has their foot to the floor in every gear. The rider has as much throttle as he is brave enough to give. Your actually comparing the riders bravery against the cars speed!

i have raced a few bikes in my time and i can say that after 100mph its usually advantage to the car.
Blew my first engine racing a Kwak ZX6 (or 9 cant remember but more likely a 6) up the m4 slip road and a few jcts down. Up the slip road off the lights he had the launch on me and but by the end of the slip road there wasnt much in it - especially when we wound them both upto over 150mph and i was inches off his back wheel and on/off the throttle - as a result i dropped a valve ruining the whole engine and turbo.
In summary bikes are quick but as said already it does depend upon the size of the rider's gonads.
gotta say a quick 400-500bhp car will give most bikes a good race from 100mph onwards.

Its just another classic story of racing someone that probably wasn't trying.
you didnt even achieve the "loser flyby" lol
The other week I managed to pass a bugatti veyron! Granted he was stopped in traffic in the next lane. Just saying what I saw though.
