Default Chip Help, Small Problem

Just bought a so called 195 chip off ebay and this arrived
what do u guys recon ?

not sure wether I want to put it in my car , why would it have been opened like that ?

Can anyone identify it from the numbers ?

Or have I just wasted my money

I would of thought all 195 chips would be the same , with it being black im guessing it is a powerchip ? as superchips are blue yea ?
The blue you can see is just from the tape on it

please help

Ben

Someone has attempted to copy the memory from it.

Shoull be ok to use still if it isnt damaged electrically.
I would advise covering the exposed circuit board with a piece of card and tape.

yea i think its been melted but it looks like it has not touched or damaged the circuit

it could be like that from factory to keep the board in place

so you want to "risk" using you car with chip from ebay?

seriously?

i expect it "cheap" to buy, but it could turn out EXPENSIVE if it's not any good?

me personally,. i'd send it back get refund and get it setup somewhere trust worthy

might be more money, but peice of mind,

how nervous would you be buy using WOT with that chip

Ok I see your point. But somewhere down the line this chip has been profesonally made to a good standard so why would it be so bad. ? It's just second hand

Exactly what I was thinking, why risk an "Ebay" chip? I'd buy a new one from a decent company knowing that it's the right chip for the engine.

How do you know that:

A) Its really a 195 program?
B) Its for your ECU. IE: OFAB or OFAC?

Also, if its a 195 its likely programmed only for a TOTALLY standard engine with 701s and no other mods. is that what your running?
