How much would you pay for fuel?
I've set myself a limit of 1.40 a litre soon as it hits that I'll be getting rid of my Evo as it drinks like a fish what's the maximum you'll pay for fuel before giving it all up?

The missus car is a 1.4 feista and does around 15 miles a day to work.

When premium UL gets to around £1.20 litre I will be taking the V6 injectors out my twincam and putting standard ones back in. That will give me about 40 miles extra per 1/2 tank straight away. I'd suffer the flatspot around 3k for the fuel saving.
When V-Power hits much over £1.30-£1.40 litre the cabriolet will be getting knocked back to standard timing and the carb rejetted to suit premium UL.
It is getting ridiculous now.
2 years ago, I used to put £15 of fuel in my workhorse Cinquecento and that would last me for work for a month. I filled it up the other day and it took £27

Got Dreamscience mapped in my car for RON 97. And I have not got the handset anymore!
But I still have Bluefin somewhere... so might install that and pick RON 95 map.

I'll pay whatever it is because we dont have a choice. I drive for fun not for work so it just makes my hobby more expensive.
You'll be selling it up by autumn i suspect
mate signing on aint that great, £60 a week + the 1 person shared rent rate (if under 25) and council tax benefit is all you will get. So unless your planning on a sex change, getting preggers or going on the rob/working illegally cash in hand then youll struggle to run, insure a cossy and live on dole money.

It Wasnt Me!
I'm actually dreading putting V power in the 200, as it drinks it compared to my nice economical corsa (which does 30 miles less to £20 than it did 6 months ago )
Can't even get V power here at all at the min, what a JOKE

Im sure i saw £1.26 somewhere...... must have been for Esso super-unleaded. Could be wrong though.
I put £50 of Tesco super in the scoob and got 240miles off it which was nice!! mr2 was only doing just about that on £45-50 of normal UL.
I put Esso normal UL in the other day- my car will be ok on it wont it? (standard uk turbo model)
Its such a bloody big rip off, oil prices havent even risen.

Cossie hasnt moved for months, although thats mainly down to the fact its fooked . But I havent bothered my arse to sort it knowing Ill not run it anyway as its too thirsty.
M5 hasnt moved for about 3 weeks either.
I use my 205 daily as its pretty ok on fuel and a right hoot to drive. Weather permitting I use the R1 a lot too.

I have never once looked to see how much petrol is anyway! So I couldn't tell you how much it is or if it has gone up. As others have said, I don't really need to drive a great deal. I work less than a mile from home. Maybe once every few weeks I may need to go on the road for a lengthy trip, but that's it really.

Fuel is still cheap.
FACT
When i started driving fuel was 24p (4s 10d) & the average wage was £860 a year if we say 25k is the average today then the equivalent is £7.5 a gallon.
If you consider that each one of us is going to be taxed on average at least an extra £2800 per year after the election to service the mess we are in, the price of petrol will be the least of our problems.

m3 hasn't moved for over a month even though it is taxed and insured. use my old transit for work and our lasses rover 214 for runing around in. can't realistically see the m3 getting taxed again when it runs out at the end of the month. just don't use it enough. will be off the road for the forseable future i think.
