Writing a CV
I am planning on moving back to the UK in May and i need to re-write my CV. Has anyone got any advice on what are the major dos and donts?
I haven't written my CV for a few years and i will be writing it predominately for the IT industry.
Any help at all appreciated !!!

Say who you are, how old you are, and what relevant experience you've had. No busy employer is going to want to wade through stuff that's nothing to do with the job in question.
Always team it up with a well written and above all relevant covering letter.

brief layout below...
personal details
summay of yourself
list of core skills
work history - go into detail here about the core skills listed above (try and aim for 2-3 repititions but not more so as to be picked for SEO purposes)
Education and relevant work courses
references

Keep it short, keep it utterly relevant (no one gives a shit what GCSEs you got, or whether you did a milk round when you were 15), and no one gives a shit about 'personal profiles' because they're always made up. If it's more than a page, then it's too long IMO.

Don't make it a bloody essay. The person reading it will be bored just looking at it if you do...
