only other way to bring down the cost is if you dont do huge mileage, you can ask about limited mileage policys, i know Adrian flux do it, but im not saying it will bring the price down to an affordable one, worth a try though.
Failing that sounds like you will have to buy a cheap smaller engined car until your abit older and have some no claims

mate £3700 on a 1.25 fiesta is all wrong you would get that well under 2k something is a bit funny here.
Someone please show me an 18 year old that would spend nearly £500 a month on insurance even i wasnt that stupid.
and if you can afford to spend that why not buy a far better car and pay that. you could insure so many better cars for that money.

congrats on passing your test mate, no its time to learn how to drive, my advise would be to get a cheap run around for a year or so get your no claims up then get something more sporty if thats the way you want to go.

lol I got insured on a Renault 21 Turbo (2litre) a month after passing my test, for £1400 I think, TPFT. Get your parents on your policy as named drivers, helps ALOT.
Had my renewal through with 1yr NCB its down to 500. Although I was 20 when I passed my test.
Try confused and the like then which ever company comes out cheapest go directly to their site and fill out a quote and it will more than likely be cheaper

i got 5 points for driving with undue care and attention and thats only knocked mine up a little bit, but now got a years no claims again it should be fine to insure my next car...
insurance is a swine tho but its good to have, in new zealand its optional, and my brother got hit by someone without it and got ripped off by them
