I wouldn't care if it was Rod's Cossie or an AG built one. Zonda is a Zonda end of story. V12 engine proper hyper car vs some shonky put together saff with a cooking pot 2.0 and massive turbo.
Think about it another way, would you actually say that in public: "I chose the great 200mph+ Saph built by the legendary Rod Tarry of Passionford over a Pagani Zonda because I love Cossies"
I could imagine some of the faces now![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)

my cossie neva let me down nd it was so relaxin to drive wen bein sensible and a animal wen provoked, a just love them nd would neva look at a new car aslong the cossie is parked there,

Its statements like that that annoy me, you dont pull 0-200 in 24secs in anything thats not bolted together properly. The detail in my car is second to none & i resent people who have never seen it perform making such comments. It would destroy that Zonda down Brunters & you dont do that unless a lot of time & effort has been put into it

I'm not bothered about going in 'hyper cars', 'super cars' and all shit like that tbh. I'm not interested in anything to do with these kind of cars as I know I will never get a chance to own one as long as I have a hole in my arse not that I would want one anyway.
I do however love cossies. I like the way they look, like the way they go (when they're running anyway!!
), I like the fact they are simple to work on and best of all, I like the fact it's a car I can and do own.
At the end of the day, the world would be a very dull place if we all wanted the same thing.![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

For me it's pulling up at a set of lights etc next to a CLIO182 etc etc car, who thinks he's going to beat you, and your old car then he's gets thrashed, he wouldn't even think that if it was a maccy F1 next to him thier faces are priceless, I rather have a maccy f1 than a badged up skoda veyron anyday.

Rust is the biggest problem, once they start rotting it can get expensive so its best to make sure the body is good first. You'll be hard pushed to get one with standard HP but there lots out there with stage 1, just make sure its got plenty of history with it and has generally been looked after. If you turn up and it looks bit dirty, tyres look nackered etc i'd personally walk away because to me that would indicate that either their not bothered to much about the car or havn't be prepared to spend the money to look after it.

Cossies arnt the best car in the world. They are a good fun car which are a legend.I hate it when people slate them cause they arnt that bad. Also i hate it when people try and compare them to a evo or a impreza. They are old cars built with old technology.Long live the cossie.

Agree with you 100% there mate. A lot of people buy cossies, neglect them, skimp on the bits that need doing, use the cheapest, wankiest quality parts known to man and then bitch and moan about them being unreliable old crap.
I get a few people that I know that take the piss out of me for doing a lot of things on my cossie which, in their eyes, doesn't improve performance. I like my car to have the best bits on it that I can afford.

I'd be pissed if it broke down on us though, and the Zonda drove past.

Keep saving mate, the first time i ever went in a cossie was when i bought mine, first time i drove one was after it had been sat in my garage 5 months waiting for my next years NCB to clear.
At 12.00 on a thursday night i was out of my gate and down the road, will never forget the day.
I had always wanted one, and the feeling was amazing.
But then, i just don't do supercars, dad had a 360 modena challenge for a week (won it for a week at the autosport show), i went in it once and fooking hated it, the attention was just stupid, people would come up to the windows while in traffic and stare in at you, i cant be doing with that, with the cossie, you get a few people giving an admiring glance or a nod of the head.
And the cossie would of been all over the prancing donkey untill 120mph
