Default Anyone use oxy-propane?

The one thing we always seem to struggle for is heat when removing stubbon bolts and bearings, been looking on ebay and the kits arent too expensive but i have no idea where i can get compressed oxygen from?
dont want to go setting up an account at boc etc. as we wont use it anywhere near enough, and i can already get cheap c02 for welding

if its for occasional use fella,

why not just go for a propane setup similar to what plummers use ,

mate has one and is ideal for bolts ect , plus the concentrated flame means he only heats what he need to lol

MAPP gas is amazing, its the next hottest thing to oxy acetylene and you dont need to faff around with getting bottles, refilling them and having them tested/recycled etc.

You can get it from Screwfix or Plumbcentre anywhere like that.

Default Oxy propane

Better using oxy-acetylene mate for getting heat into metal. I use it at work for removing bearings, bolts and metal cutting. Get bit easy from a number of outlets, namely boc. I had a small burner for this and it was shit in comparison.

I just tried some of the butane/propane mix from halfords on me blowtorch, loads hotter than the older butane, really roars now, about £3.50 for a large size can, tried it on a 17mm nut/bolt, got it nice and orangey red, might be an idea if only occasional use ?
