quick welding questions

hi im having a small patch of welding done tommorow on the rear chassis leg just wondering after my mate has welded the plate on ect,is there anything i can put on it to stop it comming back?? cheers

depends what level of finish you are after really, you could just slap some waxoyl over it, or stonechip and paint as you would the top of the car.

black it up,it will spread you cant do owt about it, they rust from the inside out

use por15 on the inside of the plate before welding then paint the whole area with it afterwards ive never had one rot back through yet. make sure he cuts all the rot out first and doesnt just plate over it
