VW GT TDI 150. I drove one on test drive before deciding to buy the Focus ST170. The Golf has just about the best diesel engine i have ever driven shame about the soggy handling and dated interior

A mate of mine has just bought a Golf GT TDi 150, he reckons it's awesome, he had a couple of D-Turbo 306's before that and he says it leaves them standing although the handling isn't as good as the 306's. It's a smart looking car dark grey, lowered with 17's and tints.

I would hope it would leave it standing with nearly an extra 60bhp over the Pug306TD!!!

Been told that the transmission loss should be no where near that big, but theres a good 120bhp there atleast

Cant complain with that - I wanna up the boost/fuelling on my 306 - its the mechanical type so fairly easy to do - problem is its approaching 130k mark so I dont wanna stress the headgasket as its my everyday car!!

How about an Omega 2.5TD? Uses the engine out of the BMW 2.5TDS, cheap as fuck, massive boot & RWD

If you want something that drives nice, ignore the Audi and go for the Focus.
