my local autoparts used to say that too when the mrs had her mk5 they used to insist it was a mark 4 used to piss me off to the extent of making them count up through them all.just remember most parts people are just mechanics who aint good enough to get a job in a garage as a mechanic

mk5, but pretty much all it is, is a mk4 with a different front end

Technically its a Mk4 facelift but the common perception is a Mk5.

first pic is a m5 2nd is mk6 allthough some places call the mk5 a mk4 face lift which in turn makes the mk6 a mk5
