Been harder to get fuel recently as pumps seem to be empty more of the time but lucky 99% of people go for ordinary unleaded so leaves V-Power always available for me. Prices are getting ridiculous though will be £1.30 before we know it

I swore by v power, used it almost every time in the capri in thw two years Ive owned it. I refused to pay the 1.23 for it yesterday tho and I didnt notice it run any worse (I use castrol lead replacement with added octane boost). As long as normal unleaded is available I shall be using that from now on x

Not been able to get any Optimax for years, I have had to make do with something called V-Power instead.

Cheers,

No V-power at 2 shells local to me, filled up with BP Ultimate instead at a cost of something rather annoying like 128.9

the only shell station within 15 miles of here has now become texaco! bp station has closed so can't use ultimate anymore either, stuck with esso super unleaded or that tesco super unleaded stuff which i don't know that i fully trust.

was able to et some near me on friday but not bought any since so who knows!!!

Always wondered, have always been told not to run cossies on 95 ron etc so never have, how would they run if u used 95 with octane boost?! never actually used the stuff but had a few times where ive been on the light and had to pass a couple of stations with 95ron as they were out/didnt do 97+ octane. Was thinkin about having a bottle in the car just incase i ever get caught out again.

Also is tehre any make of octane boost thats better than others?!

if you HAD to use 95 then just cruise off boost until you fill up then you'll be fine

Worth giving the Total super a try - always found my ST170 ran well on it. Only problem is finding the one Total in each county that doesn't cost more than ACTUAL liquid gold....

would be interesting to see a proper price breakdown versus oil prices and tax rises to prove if its just opec being greedy cunts or if its the oil companies cashing in on the recession as an excuse to hike prices.

Any other industry and they would be in court over price fixing etc
