Default bike carbs on pinto problem

Hi guys, I'm having trouble with the carb conversion I just fitted to my pinto. I bought a set of honda bike carbs on a manifold, supposedly jetted to suit a pinto, however it wont start without the choke, and wont rev beyond about 3000 rpm, it just spits back through the intakes! I reckon it is really weak or jetted incorrectly. Could anyone offer any suggestions as to what I should look for? Many thanks

Thanks guys, spoke to carb supplier today, and he reckons the carbs haven't been jetted correctly. He said the main jets should be 1.5mm. I drilled them out myself tonight and they def were not 1.5mm! Waiting for new gasket to arrive and I can try it!!
