Default Drifting

i fancy a go at drifting i dont live far from the pod and wouldnt mind having a crack at there dwyb days. i was thinking of getting a sierra nothing special just somthing cheap that can take more abuse than a catholic orphan.
but im after a little advice on which sierra to go for, sapphire or 3 door/XR4i

also whats the best engine to opt for a pinto cologne or twin cam?

im thinking of the 2.8 V6 for two reasons one a mate of a mate has an original turbo technics conversion going spare and 2 another mate has a Granada cosworth V6 lump lying around... but these are heavy engines and ive already been advised against torbo'ing a car that runs off a carb so im after some more opinions on this particular subject

oh and lastly if i weld the diff can i still break it? or will it have a knock on effect on any of the running gear or transmission?
