Power wise it seems more practical to do a dura turbo or a focus 2.3 turbo conversion than a cosworth.

But would love the rep power of having a cossy mondeo lol they should do one seeing as the mondeo replaced the saph

duratec turbo is alot of messing around m8 - havr you looked into these seriously?

one plus point is if one of the mondeo's you have already has a duratec engine it'll have an mtx-75 box not a ib5 like they put on the fiesta st's!!

Why not supercharge it? Jamsport have done plenty of these conversion and i'm sure I saw one with 330 bhp in a recent issue of fast ford on standard internals!!!

Yeah just a bit worried about the floor pan.

and the rear axle and suspension and diff and gearbox lol

Hmm but I think I would want it to be 4x4 due to the sort of power it would put out.

A dura turbo seems like a more sensible route but then it will be front powered so couldnt really push more than 300 horses safely.

Not a huge fan of torque steer lol

It's definitely going to happen anyway seems silly not to really!

YB will fit onto a FWD gearbox, I bought a half finished mondeo cosworth that was all there mechanically.

I broke it for the engine though, so never finsihed it, but the engine was in and connected upto the wheels no problem

hmm maybe, a supercharger 4-6k is the budget

so dunno if thats enough?

2cc is about 140hp so how much extra horses would a supercharger create?

I wanted variable boost control tho hence the turbo route.

Can you control the output of a SC?

Hi,

I'm building an Mondeo Mk2 Cosworth at the moment.
I will start from a former touring car bodyshell from the Belgian SRT-team.
The car has a Sierra bottom with a Mondeo body on it, and fibreglass bodypanels.
It was used in the 90's in the Belcar Series (Belgian Touring Car Championship).
Actually, I'm waiting for a 2.0T 370bhp 2WD Cosworth engine that I bought in the UK. I will use the car for trackdays.

@ Touring Car Spares: Wasn't the grey Mondeo on your pictures also from Selleslagh Racing Team in the past? I tought Pauwels Motorsport bought the car from SRT, and sold it again...
