car not displaying tax

Default car not displaying tax

i'v got my car back on the road after being off the road for three years, i taxed it yesterday on line but i'm still awaiting for it to turn up in the post .
i'm just wandering could i get done for not displaying the tax disk even tho it's taxed??

yeh you would mate the tax has to be in the window should turn up thursday

That states you could for 5 days after the expiry ONLY IF your vehicle previously was taxed. As I understand yours was SORN so no you can not.

yeah mate, i got £60 fine for not displayin my tax (was at home in the garage .. dont ask why i dont know) but i got away with it as i said it fell on the floor
my car was parked up in the car park and there was a ticket left on my windsreen

buggers atlest you got away from it.

sounds just like the luck i would have but i would'nt get away with it

it would take an arsehole of a copper to do you in that circumstance. they can tell if its taxed on the database..mines showing no tax either, still waiting for it to come after doing it online..been driving it as normal aswell

AOJ, would never pursue it, so don't matter what cops do, the advice for cars with no tax is to take no action for THREE months, don't ask me why it pisses me off as well, this is certainly the case in Norforkshire, me mates a copper and told me I was very surprsied as well, but bosses say don't even bother reporting till 3 months overdue.
