I've not seen a G20 in person yet, but it gets lots of good reviews!

I mean, I think my Samsung is pretty good; I know it's not great, but it's a lot better than most in it's price range, but the Panny's are next level!

Still don't beat a last gen Pio tho

miles apart mate, the g10 an 15 was next door but 1 to the G20 after seeing them like that no sane person would go for the G10/15

the only other TV that came close to it in the store imo was a "60 samsung LED but i think it was about Ł2600 and the picture still wasn't as clear

edit: i even had a look at the v10 as i had heard good things about it and it was such a dissapointment after seeing the G20

G10 and G15 were the same pic quality i thought?

Well thats why i went for a G10,

G15 had the viera cast stuff, iplayer i think? and 4 hdmi sockets

so is the main thing on the G20 the panels been well speced up quality wise?

The most notable of those other TVs was the TC-PG20/25 series. Improvements over the current G10/G15 sets include a higher native contrast ratio spec, for what that's worth, (5,000,000:1 vs. 2,000,000:1) and a better VieraCast service with Netflix and Skype. The demonstration showed off the effects of these improvements, and to my eyes the better contrast ratio, manifested as the TVs ability to show a darker shade of black, was the big story.

you need to go and find a store to have a look

Panny won TV of the CES show 2010 and you can see why there a cut above atm imo, reading the review of the VT20 it seems clear panny have made another step forward towards kuro black levels and image quality ! After seeing the video of how bad the crosstalk is on the samsung lcd's it would be

yeah true panni is a great tv but there is not that much that sets them apart from the reviews ive read and the samsung wins hands down on price plus from what ive read are always updating there firmware to fix any issues with tvs constantly where as panni will take about a year for an update

plus as much as id like to spend that much ona tv the samsung is in my price range for what i want

Which reviews are you reading? as the ones that count are all saying the same thing trust me the main thing that seperates the two is picture quality and black levels, and thats all you buy a tv for really?

I wouldn't worry about needing to update firmware with panasonic for issues as there aren't that many, but if you do need to update dont worry as they are there

The samsung will usually be cheaper and thats like most things in life if your not the best then they cant demand top money for it
