Yeah but its software one an internal component, and trying to flash a bios isn't the easiest thing to do even on a pc let alone a games console.
Even if that is the case the user may lose all saved data like profile and psn details.

And for it to happen to every ps3 that been released ever up until 2009 is a bit of a c*ck up!

Forza is a excellent game, and although Forza 3 was aimed at both hardcore racers and pick up and play gamers, im sure the next Forza, due probably around the same time as GT5 lol will be more focused.
That said, my PS3 is sitting here waiting for GT5, as originally Im a GT man.

lol complete unfounded. Sony have said that it was the internal clock that caused the errors. Not someone hacking the playstation network, otherwise those without internet would not have been affected.

Doubt it, most of the folk I know that can hack love their consoles. MS are still a prime target though, all MS software updates go out on a tuesday, the exploits get hit the next day hence hacker wednesday.

Annoying GT5 is delayed again but every GT that comes out is about as good as they can get it at the time, it's pre booked and I'm still looking forward to it.

I'm no longer bothered about the Gran Turismo series anyway so not fussed. Used to be well into them and had the first one as a kid on Playstation before most people in the UK and therefore lots of the sequels even over to PS2. Problem is its nothing new now and Forza series has brought new things to the table making it the benchmark, the daddy. Forza 2 blew all the previous Turismo's away IMO, but its funny, at the time I never thought I'd say that.

New generation wise I'm not sure weather I'll get a Microsoft or Sony console (prob wait and see again) so could play a GT game again but right nowI'll not be rushing out for it even if it is good, Forza 3 will more than do or any sequels.

With gran turismo5 having dynamic day/night cycle and change weather elements which will affect the driving (just like rain in real life) will be something new just to start with. I think it will be bringing alot of new things to the table which is why it is taking them so long. However, at the moment it is all just what we're being told. So i guess they could feed any old story about it and then never include it in the release.

only time will tell.

Just been reading up on it, the game will have full day night cycle and weather too. The details on the weather system have only been confirmed today and some grainy videos are popping up on you tube, but even on the poor quality vids some of the effects look out of this world

That looks sooo good. As I always said, I don't mind waiting forever for a game so long as its awesome. Id like to see any other rival get full day night cycles and weather effects. Something Forza just doesn't have. Its always been the same with Polophony, the keep things nice and quiet (while competitors always bang on about how much better they are than everyone else) they take their time and when they do release the game it always raises the bar that bit higher.

Doesn't look like it, I can't believe how detailed the effect is on the windscreen. It starts getting thicker and heavier the faster the car goes and then when up to speed it starts streaking up the windscreen and changes direction as the car goes round corners.

Strange that, the official site still says the 3rd? Which is a Wednesday, but games are normally released on Fridays ain't they?

I have a 360, ps3, and PC, and IMO PC outdoes the lot. But, I still realise that both PS3 and Xbox360 have their good and bad points. Just saying 'It's wank' is a massively closed minded statement, that actually, is totally incorrect. If it was 'wank' it wouldn't have sold!

had one, sold it on......you only have to look at how many 'exclusive' titles the PS3 has lost to xbox to realise that game programers are leaning towards the xbox. Lets have a look at the next level of gaming......xbox release the 'Kinect' and PS3 release something that look's like it belongs in the hands of an X-Factor contestant lmao. Also, PS3 owners rant on about it having a Blu-ray player.......yes which is now obselete due to the release of 3D Bluray players lmao. The phrase 'Jack of all Trades, Master of none is becoming oh so fitting'

PS3 firmware update on the 21st of this month supports 3D Blu-Ray playback.

From what I've seen, the Move impresses me more than Kinect. The 'exclusive' titles are becoming very rare now as the developers know they need to sell across all 3/4 formats to make a profit. However the xbox exclusives will probably never move off xbox due the microsoft cash behind them.
If GT5 was ported to the 360 they would probably sell 4-5 times as many copies.

Really just couldn't care less, I don't have a 3D TV. Was just saying it's hardly "obselete", as you put it.

I think they're both great machines and each one has their advantages. I don't have a 360 anymore but I'm tempted by the new one, Halo Reach looks good fun.

As for GT5, that game should have been out years ago. I honestly don't know why they insist on including so many cars that hardly anyone will use. From the videos I've seen it certainly looks the part, suppose we'll just have to wait and see how it plays, but if I'm being honest I've lost interest in it because of all the delays. I'd rather shoot someone in the face than drive around in a Honda Jazz, VW camper van or any of the 000's variants of the Skyline.
