FAO Anyone who moderates any forum other than pf and is not affiliated to pf staff
After my other thread got moved i wanted to continuie my questioning of puma dal. He seems like a good choice and i see no policy or problem here with pf so we can have a nice group general discussion
So Mr Dal in case you missed my moved post...
Why do you wish to moderate?
Does it bring any joy to your life?
Do people want to be "friends" at car shows?
How do you rate your mod finger from 1-10(AJ - Eagle/Mark(

Ive just been 'promoted' from a moderator to member of staff on ScottishMondeoForum.com, no extra joy in my life, no extra friends at car shows, dont believe the hype
But to be fair, SMF doesnt take any modding, it runs its self, so no need to wave the modding finger.

Why do you wish to moderate? I don't want to moderate PF - too much like hard work sorting out all you loonies!
Does it bring any joy to your life? Some - Good to see my forum work for the good of others. Helping people out where Ford / others fail

There are names on here that it seems to me are only here to make a name for themselves. They know who they are.
Not going to abandon ship at all. We make no income from our forum in any way (it's all free) - we do it because we are enthusiasts and want to help. (was PF ever like this? I've only been about for 3ish years)
Moderating on here only seems to happen when things get aggressive - but then I know that lots of moderating goes unseen so nobody really knows it goes on.
I don't think that it's helped that PF got sold on last year (or whenever it was). Stu seemed to have things under better control than this yankee mob do. (From an administrative aspect)

I don't have any idea who is a good / bad moderator on PF as you need to know what goes on behind the scenes to see who actually does what on a forum. Any interaction I've had with them has only been positive.
There are far more "idiots" on here that need policing in terms of childish posts IMO. But that's also something that makes it a good read and a good laugh most of the time.
The policies on behaviour seem to be far more relaxed here than on our forum, but that's up to the board owners to set.
