Toe Knee, yes the 3071 is a really popular choice at the moment mate, its what Cossie Rich is using for 480bhp.
As standard it doesnt have the surge porting holes around the compressor housing, and I generally advise against it for most applications as they will take fairly big boost without surging anyway, but on a really boost hungry engine like a YB it makes sense to have done.
Before anyone says anything, this most certainly is NOT any form of for sale post, I dont sell turbos, I just did these lads a favour arranging these for them from the supplier I use for my own turbos, its not something I do for profit or anything like that!
Anyone after prices, drop Martin Hadland a PM, he's very competitive on these turbos and is a trader on here

Can't wait to get it fitted, shame I don't have any valve cut-outs in my pistons so I can only run std cams. Should make about 420ish BHP so I've been told.

420 should be ok for a bit of fun, I'm thinking of adding a Wizzards of Nos kit to give it a bit more poke on the drag strip.
A new engine should be on it's way later this year, then I can use the full potential of this turbo.

Did Someone Mention TUV

People have used bd14 inlet cam without valve cut outs in their pistons. It just depends on how colse it is really. A head with a couple of skims for example is going to run the risk of valve to piston love making.
Chip - All round good bloke and was one of the cogs in the wheel which has given me my own fame the "cossierich engine spec" he got me my gt3071 at a much better price due to the ecomony then

Toe Knee - I was running about that kind of power, T34.55 @ 2.4 Bar, it was much more fun when I put R888 tyres on, normal tyres just spin the power away. You soon get bored of the power and want more.
Rich - I did think about running a bd14 but my head has had at least one skim that I know about, possibly more, so not worth the risk.

Martin mapped it on 30/01/10 @ 417.9 BHP this is with a standard port head with a pair of BD10's and running it on the "safe side" and "not taking the piss" as Martin put it.
I know people will say it's crazy running a turbo like that with standard head but everything will catch the turbo when I have the money.
I've got the graph around here somewhere.
Rich
