.....to find out a price on there Frontera "turbo intercooler" badge and they said I had to ring back when I knew what year the car it came of was!!

FFS!!!

Anybody got any clues??

The new shape on on this page looks like it has that badge, hard to see though. Perhaps you can use the reg number from it!! PMSL.

The one i had was off a Frontera 95 M reg and was Ł20 iirc

Had the same problem with Ford. I rang up to see if an L8 was still available and as I didnt know the year teh woman wouldnt tell me anything. Then rang up about some RS 7 spokes for the cossie and wanted to know the year of the mondeo they were going on. Told her it was for the cossie and she said "we do not condone that (putting different wheels on different cars) so cannot give you any details". Decided to call in with the reg of my neighbours mondeo and low and behold, any info I wanted for the mondeo was available!

Why do they bother!? Surely it is money in their pocket and if each item is sold with a disclaimer, it would clear them of anything.

the problem with the parts system is that with the car details entered, it will genraly only give you the parts for that car (maybe with a couple of choices)
but with out the details it could give you loads of differant choices, thus the parts
man gets you the wrong part (which he may not be able to return) & you still think he's a tosser anyway.
in your mind you know what badge you want, but they only have a rough image
on a screen & a part number.

Got a mate from work to ring up and she told me they need to be ordered in and cost just under Ł27 inc VAT!
