Default Serious question..what car..

What car would you buy if you had 30 - 40k to spend? Bare in mind i already got the Merc

I am not interested in tuning a car up either like those folk who spend shit loads and realise...DOH i would have been better off not doing this to a 90's shitter..no offence like, been there done it and its the WORST thing you could ever do IMHO.

TVR Sagaris.

Obviously my choice would be different if it was going to be an everyday/only car.

Well for me i would either go to a Ferrari 355 (nice mint one) or a 360 (which i know u are considering)..

I am not interested in the fastest car etc etc but i WOULD want something that will hold its money as big depreciation is a no no for me.

You bought a nice 355 and you would suffer virtually no depreciation.
I could not get anything nice and new as the thought of losing 10k in 2 years (or even more) would break my heart

Yes depreciation is a big NO lol, its more a toy rather than an everyday car.

360 is high on list

I was talking to someone about this the other day. I reckon my Megane did almost Ł10k in ONE year and thats at a much lower level than we are talking about here.

Thank god it wasn't me that took that one up the arse.

My favourite Posh Fiat is the 355 F1 like Doug Stirlings which I have driven and quite liked if a little bit short on power !

You need a bigger garage Phil

If you could throw another 10k in the pot then this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FLEETWOOD-REVO...item27af95d160

or something similar but cheaper if the money printing machine has run out of ink.

Super-Charged Harley .. 2004 and upwards.

If you have a spare 5k they can be converted over to RHD.

700bhp is a bit pointless on the road really, and its not like Phil will be doing trackdays in it.

1. I just wish I had the Merc
2. Doubly wish I had that much spare cash to lay out on a motor...

For me, probably cos I'm cheap, I'd buy a nearly new Focus RS2 and pocket the change.......

But that's just me.

Surprised Porkie hasn't advised yet, as he seems ot have driven literally everything out there worth driving

Seeing as threads relating to this dilemma are taking over GD, let me spell it out for you!

F.A.O.I.M.A.B.M.W.M.3.C.S.L.F.T.W.

-Should be nigh on depreciation proof now
-Exclusive
-Nicely within budget
-Different enough to the other stuff you have

I.M.O.

I can't imagine a car like that going down in value much more - Looks like it's already taken 'the hit'.
