i thought it was the rear spoiler made from plywood, and the arches had been made from aluminium or steel by bashing them over the kerb to get the edges?
remember the car though... i was fairly impressed at the time!

His work is good as I have seen him do some work on a friends E30. Meticulously clean workshop too.

yeah i think prism could build a good motor although them idiots at max power had him build some right toilet looking cars,i wouldn't drive that cortina if you paid me and the same went for all the others cars they got companys to build inc the give away rst,the purple bmw,the pink rs2000,the lemon carlton that was rusting, etc etc. just shows they had no taste as hardly anybody builds or wants cars like they built them lol.

The Cortina was his own car, Max just featured it. Nor did he do all their cars. He may have had a hand in a couple though.
Funny thing is, people mock Max Power but back in the day it was the biggest selling car mag in the UK, and was selling over 280,000 copies a month! Now it's broken and they're selling so few that they no longer release the sales figures!

yeah i know prism didn't build them all, they had some bloke called binks painting the cars for them like the rs turbo and the carlton. both of them would get laughed at now.
hang on they got laughed at bitd too
it got to the stage it was like saying this is how to shag your car.....copy us.
i had to stop buying it as it was for mainly council estate cretins who aspired to drive around in max power type cars where i wanted a big hp rs turbo or cozzie that didn't scream i'm on drugs and bail try and catch me

You say that, but it was still selling more than any other car mag.
You and you mates may have laughed at them, but thousands and thousands of lads worshipped their project cars, so you were in the minority, not them.
I'm not defending the cars, but think you're underestimating the impact they had on the scene. Looking back they featured some gash cars and took modifying down a very dodgy path, but in terms of capturing the zeitgeist no mag has come close to Max.
