air filter options in tight spaces? turbo intake..

air filter options in tight spaces? turbo intake..
with my manifold chopped about to relocate the turbo to clear all the things in the way the best i can get it is with the intake about 1" 1/2 from chassis leg 
. i was thinking that being an escos t34 the intake is rather long, could this be chopped and welded back at an angle or something to give me space to pick up a filter? or any other options would be great, cheers

manifold isnt welded back together atm so hard to get the pic. the chassis rail runs clean across the face of the intake with a 1" 1/2 gap between chassis rail and end of intake best i can really discribe it really.
