I agree the eyebrows need to come off.

I need me one soon for some fun. A set of fast road cams and a ported head with bigger valves is supposed to take them straight to 200bhp.

hope you like rebuilding engine

at most from a 306 it will have engine, gearbox, front brakes and suspension

so suspect it probably just front bakes and possible suspension, which are both good upgrades

baffled sump wont really help much, they cant get the oil to the sump quick enough, which is the main issue

the baffle will only help if the oil is actually in the sump

fit a gti6 and all your engine troubles will be gone

Hmmm hard one that. They go VERY well. Not very heavy and 150 bhp or whatever it is. I had one and had a 1.6 box in it which makes it feel quicker again as shorter geared.

I cant think what to compare it too but i'd guess you'd need a good 180 bhp in an rst. EVen then i dont think thats a great comparison.

Cool , they do go well, mate had one running just over 200bhp on a 1.6 box with 4.8 final, went like a rocket off the line, blew it up on a track day though (oil starvation again!)

nice 205 is that mate
had a few of them inc a turbo technics 1.9 and a cpl of mi16,s
as said get used to rebuilding them

my last mi16v lasted three days of abuse before crank made a hasty exit ,

my damn metro turbo lasted longer !!

and if im honest the mi16v arent that great of a 205 conversion ,or am i the only one on pf that thinks there cack ?????

they weigh more than the 205 itself does and promote heavy understeer too
just dont rate the mi16 205,s sorry

be better getting a turbo technics 1.9 motor or doing a 2.0 8v turbo conversion

sounds like you used the later IRON block Mi16....(or gti6 engine is iron block too)

as the Mi16 block is exactly the same as the 8v one. (alloy block so very light) and just has a 16v head on it... must weigh 10 or15kg more at very very most.
there is no way the mi16 is a heavy engine in any way

mmmmmmmm some good footage of the t-16 on youtube

any one know that peugeot are no longer producing a GTi model .... farely useless info especialy as they havent really made a good GTi since the 205 and 309, infact the 306 GTi-6 is probably the last decent GTi car the produced.... shame

150 for the GT which my mum has and 180 for the GTI.
I was never realy a fan of the 205 so I got a 309 gti instead.I drove it home from Oldham to Stoke and then stuck in through the block 2 days later
I think I was unhappy with it after being in my mates Mi16 205 good fun.
