Best Friend JAILED today
Hey all,
Just finished a shift and thought i'd have a moan at todays judicial (sp?) system
Last August, my mate got jumped in Edinburgh after a night out and one of the attackers (there was 2) tried to stab him.
Now my pal can handle himself and managed to knock the knife out of this guys hand (attacker 2).
Anyways, long story short (although you'll fill in the rest yourself), The other boy picks up the knife (attacker1), lunges for my pal who dodges it, and stabs his own accomplice(attacker2).
Now for the fucked up bit.
The guy that got stabbed (attacked 2), lost a kidney and some other bad shit. They both said in the struggle it was my mate who did the stabbing, and as there was 3 sets of prints on the blade, he got convicted of 'Serious assault leading to permenatnt injury'.
It was established that it was the other 2 lads that'd brought the knife to the scene, ther're were witness who saw my mate alone, then get attacked. and he gets jailed.
Only reason he only got a year and not 5 was because the knife wasn't his. (he has no previous of any sort) The other two lads have dissappeared. At leaset he was man enough to go to court, knowing because of the police statments that things didn't look great (the other 2 stuck together). His lawyer had told him he'd get a curfew or the tag. NO ONE expectd this.
REALLY upset,angry, wish a slow and painfull death on those little baw bags.

Thats the way it goes mate.

Thats just fucked up
HE gets attacked by 2 guys and one has a knife and then cause he actually managed to keep himself alive his in jail for a year.. Hope he gets out sooner that the 12 months

does make you think out of say 200 thousand prison inmates how many are actually innocent.
if a copper got jumped and nearly stabbed and avoided it even by adminishing a severe beating they would get a bravery medal and a pic in the paper with the gormless mayor,a honest citizen does the same thing and they get bird and a stretch in the cooler with proper villans and then the possibility of a ruined working carreer.

Mores to the point, if he'd beaten the crap outta these 'stranger wankers' and dumped the knife leaving them both in the gutter, he'd probably have got away with it as well.

Happens alot mate my cousing was a soldier & 3 summers ago him & his mate were at a public park with 2 burds these other 2 lads came along started talking because my cousin & his mate had drink they offered the lads a drink so they were all getting on fine. My cousins mate left with one of the burds my cousin went into his pocket gave his mate a Ł20 note for a taxi he had about Ł200 in his pocket so off his mate & this burd go its getting dark now my cousin decides he is doing the off with his burd now he says good bye walks away & the bigger one of the 2 lads say Lets roll this cunt & ran at my cousin punching him! my cousin isnt a big lad but he was a boxer in the army been in the army from he was 16 trained in beleize(sp) jungle & served in iraq he turned round & started scrapping with the bigger one he ended up knocking the big lad out his mate ran away! my cousin left with the burd afterwords she was shaken next morning police at the door he got done with attempt murder the lad had a fractured scull with the punch & got 4 years in jail. He had gave the 2 lads drink for nearly 2 hours getting on fine then when they noticed he had a pocket full of money & his mate was away the decided to mug him turned out they picked on the wrong lad

Just a bit confused myself.
If your mate knocked the knife out of the attackers hand, then he would not of got his finger prints on it! So how did his prints get on the knife?

But it does sound strange that knocking the knife out of the attackers hand ended up with the innocent's party prints over it

No comment in EVERY interview
or as i found state at the start this will be a no comment interview or if i do not answer (because body language when you answer ) will be taken as no comment !
And last never use the duty solicitor i did and was on the polices side IMO for me more work from the station no conviction no more i believe
now i am appealing they cant find the paperwork !
I was in prison at one point and was chatting to someone said what are you in for he stated murder GULP
Young guy not what you would have thought what happened if you don't mind found his DNA on a butt at the scene
so i said could have walked down the street someone asked for a ciggy and you gave it they did the rime but that was there
When i was last arrested they took everything just to find something to do me for
and before that disposed of the stuff they did take so i have to claim against them there is no justice at all

although if i knew id left prints on a knife that was used to stab someone, id certainly be wiping it down or disposing of it even if only to protect me.

It could be many reason's why his finger print's are on there
innocent or guilty,I'm sat on the fence i aint saying he was wrong or he is innocent as the fact's the real fact's are not known by us!Tbh we have a half a story which i said above
None of us were there only the said people and the judge/Jury know the fact's in detail!

i ment i was innocent lol you no comment the interview to test the strength of the case against you in my case there wasnt enough evidance to convict because i did nothing that was out of order for the situation the club didnt release any real cctv even though its covered in it, because it would have incriminated there staff and they didnt need the publicity seeing as someone was killed in there 3 weeks before hand

Totally agree, was truly stunned at how people (especially the older generations) were to assume things. The amount of people I saw let off becuase 'well he didnt say no comment in the interview, so he cant be guilty as all career criminals do that'.

duty solicitors are as bent as a nine pound note and the crooked police that push you into using them deserve to rot in hell imo.
nothing makes me happier than when a judge, bent copper,magistrate,council officiaL etc gets fucked over for being naughty,its very nice to watch the police get rid of their own when they just can't get the guilty bent copper out of shit so they cut them loose to save themselves.
i honestly have had some coppers lie through there teeth to me and i would have to say if you ever get accused of somthing you need to lie to get out of it because some coppers will without question unfortunately.
judges make examples of people they think need teaching a lesson,if you turn up in court wearing a pair of tracky bottoms and a fila hoody with your hands down your boxers and sneer at everyone your gonna have them think you play the system and don't care so whats the point and if your on the dole fuckin great thats the best way of not paying a fine cos you have no proof of income exept a giro which goes on dope/phone/bevvy slags and fags,how you gonna pay for your crime when theres fuck all left.

Agree with warren, chances are if your trying not to get stabbed your prints will end up on the knife.
Fact is if you come out with a knife and start a fight your obviously intending to cause harm. If you end up getting stabbed with your own knife then it's your own fault.
Feel for the lad, hope he can get out early.
