prices will vary

a garage employing 15 blokes with a masive lock up is going to be more expensive than a one man band show with one oven

go with a recommedation not the price

I'd say £2k for a complete respray was on the cheap side.

I'd expect to pay more for a really good job.

what about Jacko, he comes across as a decent bloke?

One thing to remember as said go on recomendation BUT also remeber that getting your car tralored 100 odd miles to a place that will do the job you want at the price you want is better than a guy round the corner doing a job your not happy with for the same money!!

If you have spent time getting it restored, the paint is the cherry on the cake and makes the car, I wouldn't think twice about spending a few hundred quid getting it to a place that will make you happy.

black needs to be good mate and the prep will need to be good. Also, someone who knows their RS's will understand the love we have for them.

I took my old S1 to a bloke for some work, he said 'is it worrth it, it's just an old escort?'

True, but he wasn't getting the work after that.
