From my personal point of view, the letter x doesn't offend me in the slightest. It's quite useful, especially if I wish to write xylophone at any point
What does annoy me, is the sort of false undertones of affection that it implies, given that we're all a bunch of strangers. I don't try and kiss every bugger I meet every time I say something to them. Well, unless I've had a few jars

if im honest theres only a few i can remember.
