I said it on the other thread and I'll say it on here, impressive work!

Sad that you can't discuss something without over zealous mods jumping on it!

For metal panel working, helps to stretch metal sheets to add shape to it by squeezing it between the rollers

Are they actually stiff enough when built from box section? They're usually quite substantially made from cast iron are they not so there's very little flex?

Stuff like this I mean-

we have a huge english wheel at work never seen anyone use it
apparently it used to get used by a old employee who used to make panels for the boss fathers rolls royce.

would love to do a metal work type course would be a super handy skill to have and very satisfying

the stiffnes is not an issue with box sections because you don't adjust the wheels harder than you can slapp the metal sideways with your palm,i tried just for fun to see how hard i could run these simple things and there were so much lines from the wheels that you would need filler to make it disapear, the bigger you build them the more complex bow you will need to make, this will take 400 millimeters wide metal wich means you can wheel 800mm stuff

i just think it's amazing how someone can take a flat sheet of metel and make it into something, i just cannot even begin to imagine the amount of work it must take to get something perfect.

it takes alot of practice but you would be surprised how fast you can learn tha basics,i did a 3 day training 8-17:00 basic wheeling tec and shrinker/strecher work and alot of work in the beadroller and it was among the best things i've done in my life, higly recomended
would be great if some of you took a class in UK and shared your thoughts after it
