not long had a mk3 ST estate mondeo of the oil burning variety,
wanted to make it a bit more responsive so in the last week have added the following
tunit box
K&N induction kit
EGR blanking plate,
the final thing to arrive today was the de cat, didnt think it would make that much difference but slipped it on today and it has totally changed the car!![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
feels like boost comes in A LOT earlier and it pulls very strong all the way to redline now, it cruises absolutely effortlessly on the motorway at 90 - 100..
so overall a mod which i highly rate..
also thought i would stick a set of springs and some 19" supertourismo alloys on to toughen the looks up a bit as well as tint the headlights...
pics are before springs were fitted as you can probably tell!![Red Faced](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

my thoughts to be honest! the mrs found these for sale at an absolute steal so couldnt really say no! tyres have only done a few hundred miles and wheels are spotless!
might think about selling these and putting some MO's on it in anthracite? these just look a bit to spindly imo..
fucking cracking car though! cant fault it..

All good till the DMF fucks up and the injectors
i got offered a 03 plate st tdci hatch for 800 the other night, but it had been in a bump needed bonnet and bumper, panel and airbag. if it would have been the petrol id have bought it but the TDCi engines seem nothing but trouble

The de-cat's are great ain't they? ![Clap](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/9c-clap.gif)
I test drove loads before buying mine, and it twigged after the faster than normal test drive when the previous owner said it had a de-cat already!
Not all the 2.2 TDci's break down contrary to popular belief. You'll not get people on fora saying "Mines been fine for 100K" but more likely be asking for help when things go wrong. It's just the nature of Fora being somewhere to ask for help. Seeing as there were 1000's made as the engine is exactly the same in the top end Mk3 Mondeos, the odds on one failing are still remote.

The tdci's are great! People go on about the dmf's and injectors, but it's not as common as folk think! I've got a 110k 2.0 tdci and the old girl hasn't had any trouble!
