There are 2 jalopnik car packs, 1, the 1st one is a 2010 car pack, which you lot are complaining about.
The other which I think I read its a summertime release is the voted car pack.
Hope this clears it up.

as above mate register on the site download the mod and copy and paste into the game directory and away you go! car liveries can be edited with photoshop everything you need is at rfactor central.

+1, Rfactor is a terrible game. Everything looks so flat and horrid, seems so dated, the cars feel as though they float around the tracks as well.

With rfactor if you have a shit pc it will look shit !! Plus different mods have different physics . I only play the highly rated mods and use a logitech g25. Tbh for online play it's a million times better than forza graphically it is behind the latest consoles though .

Ey? when I first tried it, my pc was 'top spec' for then (not long ago I must add) and it still looked shit, ever car handled like wank, and felt the same. Got uninstalled sharpish

Completely not how pc games (or any games for that matter work)

If you have a really shit pc (not capable of rfactor, so your talking a 10 year old pc at least) the only thing that will change is the frame rate. Games are built around an engine, not the specifics of each pc.
rFactor looked dated the day it was released. Plus as you say, to make it enjoyable you have to spend alot of time downloading particular mods and car packs etc etc, which most people can't be bothered with.

completley agree with you and as I said the graphics are way behind forza. But you can still get variations in the graphics with different makes of graphics card and spec of computer.I have seen this when comparing my Nvidia Geforce to other cards. Where Rfactor becomes a better game is with the online play. I race in an online club with rules and regulations if you ram ppl off of the road you get banned from the club. Ive heard countless comments from ppl about forza saying that they just mod cars create liveries and take pics of the nice hd graphics then when it comes to the racing its boring! I had a 360 when they were first released and sold it to buy a pc and play rfactor as all the racing games bored me to tears 90% of the time. Im not saying forza is shit it is what it is and i find it great if i have a spare hour and just wanna have a laugh or race some mates online. But if you say rfactor is shit you clearly havent played it online the way it should be played.Rfactor 2 is out shortly and although I still dont think it will be as pretty as forza i think it will look a lot better than rfactor does now.

If you paid for it why didnt you give it more of a go and download a decent mod for it. Sounds like you downloaded it raced all the standard cars which tbh there all shite then uninstalled it. All the mods I play are spot on physics wise and its brilliant racing online with 30-40 other cars who all take it more seriously than the knobs on xbox online who drive around the track the wrong way when there not winning lol....

Anyway sorry for spamming this thread still cant wait to see the escos in forza 3 lol

think you x box fanboys need to look at the ford europe cars that are going to be avaliable for gt5, s1,s2,s, saffs fiesta turbos etc every rs is there big up forza 3 as much as you want but you will all be buying ps3,s when its out and anyway everyone knows the x box is the poormans ps3
