I agree, just look at that mystery 500 I posted, as a result of the thread the actual owner contacted me from Italy and it turned out to be the Duckhams car.

If you put up some pics of your Caltex car you could well get some pics of the original car in those colours, it needs a btt with some fresh pics.

I do have some, will look through them to see if they are your scheme.

That is the Car Martin had , he sold it to the fella in Auss who is now trying to sell it

Conversion works out at 103k pounds. Is that a good price?!?! it's clearly a lot of money but just wondered.

 

I would say the fact it hasnt sold will answer the question regards the price

I almost bought the car when it was 38k but missed it massive regret of mine

I checked the tax on the black 3dr and it ran out in 93! That was before i read Tony Matthews still had it in a barn. He pictured it in 88 so wonder if it's still a 1 owner car?

Maybe ask him and see the mileage?

Or maybe you have and i'm not that far on...

 

The guy who is selling does not need the cash. He has three ex Sierra Touring Cars that I know of. Maybe more. But still a businessman where everything is for sale. He punts the cars hard at historic races so raises the profile/value.

when I spoke to him last he has plans to restore it, Ford owned it first as a press car then Tony.
