Like anything else, it depends how much time and money you will throw at it.

I have an XR4x4 loom in my XR4i and it isn't a straight swap - the bulkeads where the fuse box sits are a different shape, and the fuse box bolts down on later cars but clips in on early ones.

On the passenger side the early has has one big hole for the wiring to go through, while the later car has two.

Ford changed the plugs on the 1991 on cars so your door looms won't plug into the later main loom, and the door looms from a 4/5 door car are too short to reach the door locks in the longer doors of the 3 door.

Sapphire didn't get a rear wash-wipe so I don't know if these wires are actually in the loom or not. If they are, they will be designed for them to be controlled from a stalk, not from a panel switch like the earlier cars, so just use a later stalk!

Nothing is insurmountable.
