My new toy STI RA
John felsteads old car, very impressed with it so far reckon it should upset quite a few bigger power'd cars on track as the response shocked me. Going to do a few tweaks over the next few months but even now its by far the quickest point to point car I have owned. Got 4 defi gauges and avc-r so I can keep a eye on things, only got to add a act gauge and a decent afr gauge and thats me.
Spec -
340BHP, 347Lbft on the Zen Performance RR last month, shows aprox 10BHP/Lbft more on the road using Delta Dash

Oil pump stripped, checked and shimmed for 7BAR oil pressure
8.3:1 compression ratio
STi9 cross drilled and nitrided crank
STi8 forged pistons and rings
STi9 Rods with rod bolts
STi9 steel head gaskets
ACL race main and big end bearings
STi5 heads freshly decked and valve seats cut, correct STi5 cams and valve springs (all individually pressure checked) etc, clearances shimmed correctly

Nice, proper classic Impreza!! I love the Sti Type R/RA!! My mate had 1 a few yrs ago before he traded it for a twin turbo supra!!
I'm saving for a new toy after selling my Evo the other to put money into house!! Not sure what to get!! I've had a version 5 UK turbo before & loved it!! The Evo was better though although it did have another 130bhp or so!! lol!!
I'm thinking of getting an Evo 8 FQ-300 or an Impreza STi version 8 PPP!! Audi S4 has also been considered!!

it was 340@fly 290@wheels according to the graph from zen, spikes 1.77 bar holds 1.6 although may drop a touch before redline.
I am unbiased when it comes to cars I loved my RS turbo and my 200sx but this subaru is in a different league in my opinion when it comes to A to B quick as possible. I just wished I went this route years ago, not the fastest in the world in a straight line but a very capable car in all aspects.
Wheels are getting sprayed black as I will only get bigger wheels if I get bigger brakes. R888's will be cheaper in 16" lol. Saying that I saw scooby on 18" compo's cx's (i think) and it looked amazing!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
That one is John's second one isn't it? It was his first one that he did the Nurburgring videos in and TOTB etc. This was for sale early last year and one of my friends was considering buying it because he was struggling to find a decent P1. Lovely car

yeah john's 2nd one. Only real difference since he owned it is the kw suspension has been removed and had standard sti 5 parts fitted which to be honest is better for me with all the speed humps where I live, just need to get the geometry set again for the rise in height.
I want to get it up another 10-20bhp using bigger top mount or w/i, 10% meth and try and spike 2 bar, hold 1.7 6500 then drop after that, that should be enough for me. I was thinking of going simtek for the anti-lag/launch control and 2 switchable maps but have heard stories of anti lag destroying valves and the amazing amunt of heat it produces.

Had my MY00 2 years now, still absolutley love it and use it daily! You hear a lot of horror stories about them but in 2 years iv replaced the MAF sensor twice an inlet hose and a lamba sensor.

nah still got the 200sx, probably stripping it to raise funds for the modding the impreza. Decided not fitting new wheels till I need to for brake clearance just going to spray them black.
I've got some 8 pot ksports I could fit but the brakes are soo good I can't justify fitting them and having to get bigger wheels to go round them.
Oranoco - neither was I mate I used to hate them and regulary thrashed them with my old rs in the late 90's, I remember posts from 2000-2001 by me you and alex knight talking how we batter them lol.

the 200 was good fun fella without a doubt but had alot of trouble with it which took the shine off it. I'm keeping the nitrous for the scooby but probably selling the rest, i'll throw ya a pm.
I went out for the first time down the mile with jb the other night and he obliterated me lol, wasn't remotely close in any way!
