Default Toad Ai606 alarm to RS2000

Hi Chaps

the Clifford in my RS2000 (1996) has died (immobilsed the car too )

I've removed it and its associated bits and now the central locking and boot popper are dead

I've orded a toad Ai606 and am going to wire it in myself, does anyone have any tips for where and how to wire it in and how to get it to fire the central locking?

Thanks

Congratulations on binning a crap alarm and buying a decent one

Just read it again and realised your asking how to fit it? mate if your asking how to fit it then id say your not knowledgable enough to fit it as well as it should be(to stop someone from just ripping it out etc)

Hi Chaps

I'm more than capable of fitting it, i was hoping someone had already done a similar job to save me the hassle of working out where to wire it in, if all else fails i will just work it out myself, was just trying to save reinventing the wheel

Car is used for track days and de locked hence wanting the Central locking to work i suspect the fuse or powerfeed to the C/L ecu was killed/controlled by the clifford it just adds more working out hassle for me thats all

well providing you fit the toad properly you shouldnt ever need to get a spanner out ever again, at least not on the alarm anyway

Im not 100% but i think you can re-programme it, or maybe you will need a whole new fob and then programme the new one in?

Ring a alarm fitter and ask if you dont get an answer on here, they will tell you straight away chap

Ai606 is fully programmable regarding remotes. With the central locking, 6 wires, depending on the type of unlock/lock (pos or negative) depends what wires you use.

As above should take a good day to do properly, no point in pro fitting unless you need it for insurance purposes.
You will not get the details about programing, but pm me if wanted.
I will come silent arm/disarm, as to supply or fit one with chirp enabled is illegal, due to noise polution regs!!
The default setting is also auto lock, I don't like silent or auto lock, so took these fiunctions away, so it chrips now(adjustable volume) and doesn't auto lock.
The remotes can be disabled, in the settings procedure, just don't lose the FOUR DIGIT pin number you get with it on a little credit card size bit, al you do is delete ALL remotes and tags, then reapply any you want, it can store up to 4 remotes and 4 tags.
If fitted correctly there will be no false alarms, malfunctions are rare, but do keep your receipt, for any warranty claim just in case.
A few are now starting to show up with leaking/popped open nicd battery packs leaking over and killing the pcb of the alarm on certain units, mainly C4's etc, they used cheap VINNIC cells!!
