Default FAO Flux Cap

yes bud ive sorted it, the grid voltage on the valves was causing it, only when reciving a small input,, put a small cap(100 pf) across it to remove noise and screened the pre with some makeshift tin foil. NOISE GONEand scope saying its clean

thanks dude

Lee,

Yeah I will see if I can find out the valve types.

It has been a while since I was into audio technology and switching tech is getting everywhere in PSU's so I guess its an inevitable transition there.

3200w into 4 ohms per channel....I want one of them bad boys !!!!!!

LOL, I cant beat that

Our main room has about 14k comprising of MC2 and JBL amps.

Love the MC2 amps, 6 years old and never had a problem and they get a proper lashing every weekend for about 8 hours continuous.

I think the MC2's deliver 1800 into 4 ohms per channel and 3600 into 2 ohm bridged but they have a big toroid transformer in them so weigh a ton !

Wow ! Surprised to hear that

Mine are only run in stereo mode so never had any issues.
They do sound good and seem to like to be worked hard though !

I will take some pictures of the rack and post up later.
