Default RS2000 Mk 5 brakes

Does anyone know of any good brake conversions for the rs2000?? to be frank the standard ones are shite, would somthing like a 2WD 4pot or any other decent ford calliper fit behind the stanard wheels?, and do any decent sized disks fit straight on? I am looking to do this cheapish as its not worth spending £1000 on brakes on a £1500 car
