Default Hotels in london? where? how much etc

As title please, just want to know where abouts i should be looking at staying in london, would be good not to have to get a taxi/bus into london every time we go out, but if the hotel is MUCH cheaper than i would do that.

Cheers

Hilton are doing 50% off weekend bookings... If you are going Sat & Sun See here:

http://www.hilton.co.uk/HiWayWeb/app...page&WT.srch=1

Edit: When you go through booking process click on packages and promotions.

Not wanting to piss on anyones chips here - but I live inbetween Harrow and Watford.... central london is a fair trot on the tube from there. For what you might pay extra for a room in London, you will more than save in time and travel. Besides, Harrow isnt the greatest of places to visit lol

rightly so - but i wouldnt say it was 10 minutes on the tube either.

If you are coming to london to visit london and see the sights etc... Harrow is not a place to stay, its too far out. its a suburb.

I currently work for Hilton and i know there are a ton of their hotels in london. They have various brand names now - Hilton Garden Inn being their budget hotel - still better than you would get from a travel lodge though - and they are coming in at Ł70 upwards for a night in central london.

thing i like with the ones out of central london is that there is always parking and safe, if your not taking your car then not a problem, i didnt care that it was in Harrow because all we done there was slept!

As i said, i 'currently' work for Hilton - I'm an IT contractor. Being a contractor I dont get the friends and family discount and other perks that permanent staff do. Its more of a case of who i know for me to get staff rates. Cola and I have just come back from a week in the Hilton in New York so it is possible, but can be a ball ache.
