for people who had had cossie conversions from fwd cars, what would i be looking at to have the sierra engine bay and floorpan fitted to a mk4 escort or maybe something newer like a mondeo, as id like to have something like this for when the escos is finished but dont know the costs involved and would like a rough idea and who could do this sort of work

basic conversion using sierra floorpan could be done for 3k imo ,

trust me i know whats involved in this ,

all depends on what you want from the car really , mines baiscally the best poss car i can make it , so time spent on shell prep is just silly ,

however if you pan on just stonechiping it and using it ,


id say 3 k for a conversion ,

i know a lad just starting up , the guy whos done my fab work will soon be offering a conversion ,

if you have the tunnel /bulkhead strut tops ,an bear mondeo id say 2-3 grand for the fab work an more if you want cage

 

I paid a pennies short of £11k for mine (different cars, but pretty much the same job) for a good job by someone who knows what they're doing.

I know of Cossie'd RST done the same, but a couple of years earlier which was £7.5k

And a Cossie'd Orion again IRO £11k

Obviously it'd be a lot cheaper if you did it yourself, but personally I wouldn't want to get involved in a task like that, slightest error and you could be in deep shit.
