Default squeaking from the m6 fiesta

right posted up about my mk6 fiesta i now have someone viewing it on monday but there is a squeaking at the front of the car when it goes down the road in a straight line is will make a little nosie liek sumthing is rubbing and is high pitch but doesnet always seem to do it ?

i dont knoww how it could be there we replaced not so 300 miles ago the one thing i have noticed is that there is a single score mark around the disk on both sides could this be it?

brake pads have really small bits of metal in them. Well thats what ive been told. I would go down the road in the car and slowling put ur left foot on the brake and see if it stop the noise. Ive done it many a time in the past.

handbrake cables normally on those.the metal outer casing gets dry and starts to rub.lower the cables from the clips,wd40,grease and work them up and down til soft.job done

hi there jub how do you do this as havent got a clue and you dont think its to do with the brakes and there is a score mark in the same place on both disks and glen it only happens when when im driving not when i brake?

its experience fom working at ford dealership last 3 years as a diagnostic technician that helps lol.if its from front also it could be balljoint shields screeching on the disc if there is score marks on it.

just throwing some ideas out that can be checked,not saying 100% what it is matey

there is a single score mark on both disks in right in the inner bit so how would i check this and also how would i check the handbrake cable a step by step would be great by any one

had it on my audi, dropped the wheel off and a tiny stone was wedged in the edge of the pad, flicked it out job done.

sounded like the wheel was grinding before!!

no it aint a grinding is a squeek that comes of every seconf like its flciekring
and what makes mee think it isent a stone is because it has scored both disks in the same place

Yeh ive done loads of cars like this if you drive along with the foot on the brake for a bit it will take a little layer off the pads and sud stop leaking.
