spec of them being

will this weaken the block to much.

was thinking of maybe building a all steel bottom end

If your building a steel bottom end you wont need to go over bore. Just make sure you get the right compression and you will get the right driveabilty that the 1600 can produce.

You need to strengthen not weaken the bore.

Cosworth pistons are either 1 or 1.5mm over bore. I have all steel bottom end with +1.0mm pistons. Both are perfectly safe.

i use +0.5 cosworth piston in my xr2tt, but cant get them anymore.
